First Steps Day Nursery in Yateley is able to provide full time care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The babies of 3 months to 21 months are in our Baby room and the older ones of 21 months to 2.5 years are in our Toddler room – both of which are in the Nursery building. In the house we have the “Little Learners” which are the children aged 2.5 years to 3.5 years and the building at the front of the site is for our Pre-school children, aged 3.5 years to 5 years.

Parent partnerships – We actively encourage a working partnership between staff and parent/carers. First Steps recognises that parents are the first and main carers of their children, and so staff work closely with parents to reach common goals for each child. We offer an open door policy. Parents are welcome at any time. Partnerships can be enhanced by parents becoming actively involved with nursery life.

Our qualified and experienced staff will provide the high quality of care and support which you expect, enabling your child to learn and develop whilst having fun in a safe, caring environment, giving them an excellent start for school and their future.

We prefer for you to come and visit us and see all the children in action and taking part in fun activities before you make your mind up whether you would like to register your child. This is why you will not find any registration forms on the website. If you would like to come and visit the nursery, please either send a contact us form or call 01252 746963.

This “Birth to 5 Matters” replaces the previous “Development Matters” document (click on the image). This is a document for parents to better understand the guidance which helps practitioners understand and support each individual child’s development pathway.
